FREE WIPO classes

The WIPO Worldwide Academy, affiliated with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), is offering several courses through a distance learning program. According to the course catalog, two are FREE. Several offer tutoring. Unfortunately, the only one currently open for enrollment does not.

  • "Primer on Intellectual Property" will take about 3 hours to complete. For more details, consult the course catalog.

Other courses listed in the course catalog include:

  • "General Course on Intellectual Property," which takes about 50 hours is free. Enrollment for the upcoming session is closed. However, enrollment begins again July 1 for session beginning in October.
  • "Copyright and Related Rights" will take about 100 hours to complete. The cost is yet to be determined for the session beginning in May, but enrollment starts March 1, so the information will probably be available soon.
  • "Electronic Commerce and Intellectual Property" will take about 50 hours to complete. Again, the cost is not yet determined and enrollment starts March 1 for the May session.
