do you moleskine?

It’s Friday (TGIF) and I must admit, I am part of a cult.  I am a Moleskine’ista.

Moleskine

There isn’t much I can do about it.  These little notebooks have been with me all over the world and back.  There is one for my geeky high school notes, I have photo chemical recipes in another, I have different colored ones for law school classes and projects, and I have one that I use for ideas and projects for my chairmanship of the SBAA.

I have waived it at irate cabbies, hidden behind it while lounging over coffee, and used it to make a point during a speech.  I once waived it so furiously during a seminar that the participants started giggling and offered up a resounding Hallelujah — I guess I looked like some type of southern preacher with my bible in hand. I had my Moleskine full of ideas and I was invincible!

Other than outing myself, I have a reason for making this post — in this world of techno gadgets and electrons whirring around, it is nice to see that other folks have an addiction to such an old-world bricks & mortar type of device.  Along with my trusty fountain-pens (Pelikan really are the best), nothing is more satisfying than a good cup of joe, a battered Moleskine and a head full of outlandish ideas that need to be put onto paper for all posterity.

Have a great weekend.
