HELL'S ANGELS "ENFORCE" RIGHTS AGAINST FINNISH STUDENTS

A Finnish school has agreed to collect and return student t-shirts with the words "HELLUS ANGELS" on them after a member of the Finnish Hell's Angels motorcycle club observed one being worn in public.  The school felt that the club had a "strong case" in enforcing their claimed trademark of the deathshead logo.

According to the article in the Independent Online, the school's position on the issue was quite clear:

"This is clearly a stolen logo. It's just a matter of thoughtlessness on the part of the kids," deputy head master Eeva-Riitta Mustelin said, adding that the bikers did not want to go to court over the matter.

While searching the USPTO trademark archives, there are several live and dead federal trademark registrations owned by various Hell's Angels clubs.  For example, U.S. Trademark Reg. No. 1582050 for was canceled in 2001.  Another registration No.1243951  is currently alive and "kicking".
