USPTO TO TAKE SECOND LOOK

USPTO TO TAKE SECOND LOOK


The USPTO has agreed to review the patent issued to Eolas Software, the same patent that was found to be infringed by Microsoft and resulted in a $521 million judgement.  Microsoft had threatened to remove the "applet" feature claimed in Eolas' patent but has postponed any action until the outcome of the PTO's review.
